CHASIM Music & Media Design was established in 2005 by singer / songwriter / producer Charles Simmons as an independent record label and music production comapny. Originally conceived as an outlet for releasing his own solo material, CHASIM Music & Media Design eventually expanded into remixing and music production for other artists, starting with the single "Du" from the german-based pop act GLASHAUS (released 2005, 3p / Intergroove), which features a remix version of the song (CHASIM Remix). Our first commercial CD release (in cooperation with the german independent record label 3p) was the second solo CD from CHARLES SIMMONS, "State Of Mind Vol. 2 (EP)", featuring a remake of the classic Eagles song "I Can't Tell You Why", performed as a duet with CASSANDRA STEEN, lead singer from Glashaus. Later that year, the single "Gott Liebt Mich" from MOSES PELHAM (2005, 3p / Intergroove) was released and featured our remix of his song "Kein Anderer".
In 2008 CHASIM Music & Media Design signed a distribution deal with INTERGROOVE TONTRÄGER - VETRIEBS GmbH for retail and digital sales of it's music catalog. The first releases under this new agreement are the online-only reissues of albums STATE OF MIND VOL. 1 and STATE OF MIND VOL. 2 from Charles Simmons, with more releases planned for 2009 and beyond.
CHASIM Music & Media Design has also been involved in dozens of music-related productions and events for commercial artists and corporate clients, ranging from voiceover work, demo production, sound design and consulting, to mixing, arrangement and audio / video conversion for Web-based media projects. In addition, we've also provided artists and clients help in the areas of songwriting and lyric creation / correction for corporate music projects and commercial music releases.
In 2007, we expanded our services to include web design and social networking site enhancement (also known as "pimping"), due in part to the number of requests from artists and organizations we've received regarding such services. We've been involved in web design since 2005, and bring a wealth of experience in this field to our clients. Future expansion plans include Flash and Javascript / CSS - based design and programming, CMS - based design (Wordpress, TypePad, Joomla, etc.), as well as application programming for the Web and mobile devices.
Charles Simmons, owner and managing director of CHASIM Music & Media Design, is a freelance musician / producer, vocal coach and web designer with many years of practical experience in the fields of music and media production. He's been involved in countless studio sessions, live events, workshops and presentations in his long carreer, both in Europe and in the United States.
